What should you pay for a shingled roof in 2022.

We know at Roofing 4 consumers that there is a lot of information out there so we make it very simple and easy for you to understand what to look for. Of course prices can vary, but this will give you a simple breakdown.

One source that we like to show is that average cost of shingle materials per 100 sq ft. (Hover over the interactive chart to view each year) From 1986 to 2000 material prices stayed right around $100 (with no labor or warranty). For 9 years materials shot up in price and from 2009-2017 stayed around $225. Now after supply chain issues we are going into the highest material cost in history. Most supply companies in 2021 issued 4-5 price increases to contractors.
